- Where to go next
The biggest difference between cam sites is not the token value. It is who holds your account once a studio or agency is involved. On Stripchat a studio has full control of the model accounts it creates, and on LiveJasmin an account can never move into or out of a studio. On Chaturbate a studio-linked broadcaster's tokens go to the studio every night, and CamSoda pays the studio rather than the model. So choose your account structure before you register, not after.
Every platform rule below comes from that platform's own help centre, wiki or model FAQ, and we checked each one on 13 October 2026. Where we could not find a primary source, we say so and leave the cell open instead of guessing. Platforms change their rules, so open the linked page again before you sign anything. Our editorial policy and evidence page explain how we source and date claims like these.
All of these sites are for adults only. Check each platform's ID rules before anyone appears on camera with you, and treat nothing here as a forecast of what you will earn.
Account control at a glance
This table answers the question most comparisons skip: if a studio or agency is involved, whose account is it?
| Platform | How a studio link works | Who the platform pays under a studio | Independent and studio account at once? | Leaving a studio |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | You register through the studio's ?studio= link; an existing broadcaster can only be added by Chaturbate support | The studio: tokens move to the studio account every night and the broadcaster cannot convert them | No help article found | No help article found |
| Stripchat | The model asks to join from Settings and Privacy and confirms by email; the studio accepts | The studio, which "has total control" of its model accounts and must pay the models | Not allowed, and not under two studios at once | Ask support if your account was independent first; a studio-created account belongs to the studio |
| MyFreeCams | No studio account type: the Rules for Models forbid sharing an account or creating one for someone else | MyFreeCams pays the model directly | Not applicable: there is no studio account | Not applicable: the account is always in the model's own name |
| LiveJasmin | The studio registers the model in its Studio Center; the model must accept the Services Agreement personally | The Studio Center holds payout settings and model income | The wiki allows several accounts per person but does not address this case | Not possible: a studio account cannot become independent |
| BongaCams | Studio is its own registration type | Studios have their own payout minimum; the routing to models is not described | Not described | Not described |
| Cam4 | A studio is a business that manages models | Studios "may" handle payment processing | Not described | Not described |
| CamSoda | You sign up through the studio's link | The studio, which then pays the model | Not described | A written release from the studio, or 6 months after your last broadcast |
| Streamate | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable |
Payouts at a glance
| Platform | Value to the model | Payout rhythm | Lowest published minimum | Faster option |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | $0.05 per token | Twice a month (1st–15th, 16th–end), sent within 7 business days | $50 for most methods | Daily payouts once eligible, $3.95 fee per day |
| Stripchat | $0.05 per token | Weekly on Tuesdays; international wire every other Tuesday | $50 (method-dependent, up to $500) | None described beyond weekly |
| MyFreeCams | $0.05 per token | Twice a month, paid on the 1st and 16th | $10 to $20 for most methods | Early payment on request |
| LiveJasmin | Level-based share from 30% to 80% | Standard payout 25 days after the period closes | Threshold amount not published on the pages we could read | Auto-fast payout (fee) or instant payout once eligible |
| BongaCams | Not stated as a per-token rate on the model FAQ | Weekly, on the Friday after each Monday–Sunday week | $50 for models, $100 for studios | Early Tuesday payout or payout on request |
| Cam4 | The help article states $0.10 per token received | Not described | $50 | Not described |
| CamSoda | $0.05 to $0.055 per token | Weekly | $20 for most methods | Not described |
| Streamate | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable | No primary source reachable |
A token value of $0.05 means 1,000 tokens are $50 before payout fees and before any manager's share.
Three ways to work on a cam site
Whatever the platform, you end up in one of three set-ups. The difference is whose name is on the account and who the platform sends money to.
- Your own account, on your own. The account and the payout are yours. You handle setup, schedule, promotion and statements yourself.
- Your own account, with a manager. The account and the payout stay in your name. The manager works on agreed tasks and invoices an agreed share. If you part ways, the account stays with you.
- An account under a studio. The platform treats the studio as the account holder for payment, and on some sites for control as well. The studio receives the payout and pays your share. Leaving depends on that platform's rules, which differ a lot (see the tables above).
Space Management works on Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and LiveJasmin. Depending on the creator, we use accounts in the creator's own name, studio accounts, or both. On MyFreeCams, which has no studio account type, we work only with accounts in the creator's own name. With an account in your name, the platform pays you and we invoice our 50% share of adjusted net revenue for that payout. With a studio account, the platform pays us and we pay your 50% once the funds have cleared. Either way you see every amount you earned, platform by platform. The full arithmetic is on our webcam model payments page, and the agreement overview shows what goes in writing before onboarding.
Platform by platform
The four sites we work on come first, with the most detail. Each section ends with what to check before you link an account.
Chaturbate
- Studio link. Any Chaturbate account can serve as a studio. Broadcasters registered through the link
chaturbate.com/accounts/register/?studio=plus the studio's username are assigned to that studio automatically. A studio cannot add an existing broadcaster by itself; that goes through Chaturbate support. - Who gets paid. Broadcasters in a studio cannot convert their tokens. Their token balance is sent to the studio account every night, and the studio sees each broadcaster's earnings in its affiliate statistics, broken down by sub-account.
- Two accounts or leaving. We found no Chaturbate help article on holding an independent and a studio account at the same time, or on leaving a studio. Ask Chaturbate support in writing before you rely on either.
- Payouts. $0.05 per token. Pay periods run from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month, and payments go out within 7 business days of the period ending. Most methods start at $50; crypto and FedEx checks start at $200. Daily payouts become available after 2 normal payouts for US broadcasters or 4 for international broadcasters, cost $3.95 per day, and start at $20 ($500 by wire).
- Verification. Everyone who broadcasts must agree to the Independent Broadcaster Agreement and upload government ID plus a selfie. Nobody may appear on the account without approved ID. The person receiving the payout must be 18 or older, be ID-verified and sign the agreement too.
- New-broadcaster window. The NEW tag gives extra visibility for 80 hours of streaming in your first 30 days, so plan your first schedule before you go live.
- Privacy. Geo-blocking covers countries, US states, Canadian provinces and UK regions. Chaturbate says it may not catch every IP address.
Before you link a Chaturbate account: ask who will be the payout recipient, and whether you will see the sub-account statistics or a statement built from them.
Stripchat
- Studio link. Stripchat describes a studio as a management account that creates model accounts, monitors them and "has total control over them". Nobody can stream from the studio account itself. An independent model joins a studio from Settings and Privacy by entering the studio's username and confirming by email; the studio then accepts. You can cancel the request until it is accepted.
- Who gets paid. The studio owner pays the models attached to the studio.
- Two accounts. A model cannot have an active independent account and a studio account at the same time, or accounts under two studios. If you verify a new model account while you have an active one, the old one is rejected automatically.
- Leaving. This is the rule to read twice. If your account was independent before you linked it, you can ask support to detach it, as long as you can still reach its email address. If the studio created the account, it belongs to the studio and support cannot detach it. Your options are then to ask the studio, or to start a new account.
- Studio Rules. Stripchat's published Studio Rules say studios must verify age, must not coerce models, should pay the commission owed, and should give clear terms and detailed contracts. They should also have a complaint process. Stripchat may detach a model who reports abuse or coercion. Use the list as a due-diligence checklist for any studio.
- Payouts. $0.05 per token. Payouts go out weekly on Tuesdays, international wires every other Tuesday, and Stripchat charges no payout fees. Minimums run from $50 (Paxum, Cosmo Payment, Yoursafe, Bitcoin, Tether, local wires) to $100 (Ethereum, USD Coin, ACH, SEPA, Visa) and $500 (international wire). Changing payment settings on a Monday or Tuesday moves that payout to the following week.
- Verification. Photos of both sides of your ID, plus a selfie holding the ID next to a handwritten note with the date and your username. Review is usually done within 24 hours.
Before you link a Stripchat account: register the account yourself first, so it is independent before any link. That keeps the detach route with support open.
MyFreeCams
- Account and contract. You apply, create the account, upload government ID and sign the Model Contract digitally yourself. Applications, accounts and documents are each usually reviewed within 24 hours.
- Who gets paid. MyFreeCams pays the model $0.05 for every token earned.
- Studios. There is no studio account type. MyFreeCams' Rules for Models, checked 13 October 2026, forbid sharing an account or creating one for anyone else, and only the model may type in her room. The account is always registered in the model's own name. We work only with MFC accounts held that way, and our chat team does not write for you there.
- Payouts. Twice a month: on the 16th for the 1st–15th, and on the 1st for the second half of the previous month. Minimums are $20 for most methods, $10 for Paxum, CosmoPayment and Pagomundo, and $500 for international wire, which costs $15. You can request early payment, which is sent the following Monday, Wednesday or Friday, or put payouts on hold.
- Multistreaming. The rules allow working on several sites at once with no penalty. MyFreeCams discourages it and recommends a re-streaming service if you do it.
Before you plan MyFreeCams with a manager: make sure the account and payout details are in your own name and that nobody else will log in or type for you, because MFC's rules allow neither.
LiveJasmin
- Choose the structure first. LiveJasmin's wiki is explicit: an existing single account cannot be transferred under a studio, and a studio account cannot be separated to become independent. Whichever structure you register under is the one that account keeps.
- Your consent. The person being registered must be present and accept the terms and the Services Agreement personally, by logging in to their own Model Center. For a couple account, both people must consent.
- Studio control. The studio owner can set a model account active or inactive and change its password. The owner also controls mobile streaming and video calls, and sees the model's level and income. Payout options are set in the Studio Center.
- Two accounts. The wiki says a person may hold several accounts, even with the same ID document. It does not say whether one can be single and another under a studio, so ask LiveJasmin support.
- Share and payouts. The level-dependent share starts at 30% at level 1 and reaches 80% at level 9, and the level resets to 1 at the start of every period. Some income types, such as referrals and fan club, have a fixed share. Standard payout arrives 25 days after the period closes, if you reached the payout threshold. Auto-fast payout takes 1–3 business days for a fee. Instant payout needs $300 in two consecutive periods for models, or $1,000 for studios. Below the threshold, earnings roll over. Credits are still paid out if you close your account.
Before you register on LiveJasmin: decide whether this account should ever be able to stand alone. If it should, it cannot be a studio account.
Four more sites: BongaCams, Cam4, CamSoda and Streamate
We do not operate on these four, and their public studio rules range from detailed to absent. We include them so you can compare.
BongaCams
The BongaModels FAQ offers studio registration as a separate account type. Payouts are weekly, on the Friday after each Monday–Sunday week, with a minimum of $50 for models and $100 for studios. Payouts can arrive early on the Tuesday if you stream at least 3 hours on each of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Payouts on request are also available to models and studios registered as individuals. The FAQ does not explain who controls a studio model's account or how a model leaves a studio.
Cam4
Cam4's help centre describes a studio as a business that manages models. It says studios may handle payment processing and model profiles, and must enforce Cam4's rules. Its account-creation article says each token received is worth $0.10 and the minimum payout is $50. We found nothing on account ownership, holding two accounts, or leaving a studio.
CamSoda
CamSoda's wiki is the clearest outside Stripchat and LiveJasmin. When you sign up through a studio's link, CamSoda pays the studio and the studio pays you, so the payout details are the studio's. To go independent or change studios, you need a written release from your current studio or 6 months since your last broadcast. CamSoda says it does not share your personal information with the studio, so you give your tax details to the studio yourself. Models earn $0.05 to $0.055 per token and are paid weekly, with a $20 minimum for most methods and $500 by wire.
Streamate
On 13 October 2026 the Streamate model site loaded only as a script-driven page with no readable help content, and we found no official Streamate help or studio documentation. We therefore state nothing about its studio rules, share or payout schedule. Recruiting sites that use Streamate's name are third parties, not Streamate.
How to choose for your situation
You want to keep your account if you ever leave
Start with an account in your own name. On Stripchat, register independently before you link to anyone. On LiveJasmin, a single account stays single for good. On CamSoda, a studio signup means a release or a 6-month wait before you can leave. With our own-name structure the platform pays you and we invoice, so ending the agreement does not move the account.
You want someone else to handle payouts and statements
A studio structure does that, but read the platform's control rules first. On Chaturbate and Stripchat, studio money arrives with the studio, so ask how you will see your own figures. Chaturbate's per-broadcaster studio statistics are one example of the raw data you should be able to see. Our payments guide shows the statement we send for each payout.
You already stream independently
Your existing account is an asset. On Stripchat, linking it keeps the detach route with support open. On Chaturbate, only support can add an existing broadcaster to a studio. On LiveJasmin it cannot be moved at all. If you are thinking of changing who manages you, read how to switch webcam agencies before you touch the account.
You prefer one-to-one shows over a busy public room
LiveJasmin's wiki builds earnings around per-minute pricing and a level-based share, while the token sites are built around public tips. Decide which room you want to be in, then check that platform's structure rules.
You plan to stream on more than one site
Check each site's rules, not just the software. MyFreeCams allows split-camming but discourages it. Our Lovense Stream Master and OBS guide has site notes for Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and LiveJasmin. The webcam streaming setup guide covers cameras, light and upload speed. Our multi-platform strategy guide helps you decide whether a second site is worth it.
Worked example: one month, two structures
This example uses invented round numbers to show the arithmetic only. It is not a forecast. Suppose a creator earns 20,000 tokens on a site that pays $0.05 per token, and the agreed deductions come to zero, to keep it simple.
- Account in the creator's name: the platform pays the creator 20,000 × $0.05 = $1,000. We invoice our 50% share, $500, for that payout.
- Studio account: the platform pays $1,000 to us. Once the funds clear, we pay the creator's 50%, $500, with a statement showing the platform, period and tokens.
The split is the same either way. What changes is who receives the money first, and therefore what you need to see on the statement. With real deductions, both sides apply them before the split, as set out in the agreement.
Questions to ask before you link any account
- Who created this account, and in whose name is it registered?
- Who is the payout recipient on the platform, and who signed the platform's performer agreement?
- Can I log in to the account myself, and can anyone else change its password or deactivate it?
- What does this platform's own help page say about leaving a studio, and does our written agreement match it?
- Will I see the platform's own figures for each payout period, not just a total?
- If we part ways, what happens to the account, its followers and any unpaid balance?
- Who checks the ID of everyone who appears on camera?
If an agency or studio cannot answer these in writing, do not link the account. Stripchat's Studio Rules make the same point: transparent terms and detailed contracts. You can see how we answer them on our webcam model agency page.
What we could not verify
- Chaturbate: whether one person may hold an independent and a studio account at the same time, and how a broadcaster leaves a studio.
- LiveJasmin: the payout threshold amount, and whether a single and a studio account may run side by side.
- BongaCams and Cam4: who controls a studio model's account, and how a model leaves.
- Streamate: every rule, because no primary source was reachable.
We will update this page when a primary source answers any of these.
