How Lovense Tip Levels, Tip Menus and GOLD Menus Work

A Lovense tip level links a range of tip amounts to a toy reaction: which toy, how strong and for how many seconds. A tip menu is different: it is a priced list of things you do yourself. "GOLD menu" is simply what Streamate calls its tip menu, because GOLD is Streamate's site currency. On Chaturbate, Stripchat and MyFreeCams viewers tip in tokens, and on LiveJasmin in credits.

This guide explains how each mechanic works, using Lovense's and the cam sites' own documentation checked on 13 October 2026. Installing Lovense software and connecting the toy is covered in our Stream Master setup guide.

What A GOLD Menu Is, And What Other Sites Call Theirs

Streamate's member FAQ describes GOLD as "a site currency" and states that one GOLD equals one US dollar. Its interface labels the priced list a "GOLD Menu". We don't manage Streamate accounts; the term is explained here because creators and viewers search for it. On the four sites we work with, the currency and the menu tools have different names.

Two details matter before you price anything. On Stripchat, a viewer chooses an item from the interactive menu and pays in the same step, and Stripchat states that you are obliged to perform an activity once you have been tipped for it. On LiveJasmin, members trigger platform-defined vibration patterns that run from a one-second buzz to two-minute patterns at full intensity, so you don't set those prices yourself.

How Lovense Tip Levels Work

Lovense calls its core feature Basic Levels. According to its Basic Levels guide:

• You can set up to 15 levels.
• Each level has a token range, the toys that react, a reaction time in seconds and one of four intensities: low, medium, high or ultra-high.
• Levels are saved per cam site. You can copy settings from a site you already set up.
• A test tip only works if its amount falls inside one of your ranges.

Lovense's cam model FAQ adds the rule that catches people out: if a tip is not in one of your levels, the toy does nothing. Lovense's software reads the tip amount, not sound.

A Worked Example With Fictional Numbers

The amounts below are invented to show the arithmetic of ranges. They are not suggested prices.

Because the ranges touch without gaps, every tip from 1 to 499 triggers something. If level 2 started at 15 instead, tips of 10 to 14 would do nothing, and a viewer would reasonably think the toy is broken. A tip of 500 or more also does nothing in this example unless you add a level above it.

Special Commands

The Special Commands guide lists seven optional commands:

• Pause the Queue: a tipper pauses tip vibrations for a set time.
• Clear the Queue: removes every pending tip from the queue.
• Random Level: plays a random one of your Basic Levels within a range you choose.
• Four patterns: Wave, Pulse, Earthquake and Fireworks.

Give Special Commands their own amounts. Lovense states that when a Special Command and a Basic Level share an amount, the toy reacts only to the Special Command.

Give Control

Give Control lets a tipper operate your toy directly for a limited time. In Stream Master's widget you set the time limit, generate a Control Link and send it to the tipper. Lovense's widget tutorial says not to open the link yourself, and you can end the session at any time. In the Cam Extension, Lovense's Give Control guide says the automated version works on CAM4, BongaCams and ePlay. Stripchat documents its own Full Toy Control option, switched on through the Give Control box in your Lovense settings.

Handing over control is a boundary decision, not only a pricing one. Set a duration you are comfortable with, and remember you can stop the session.

Tip Animations And On-Screen Feedback

Stream Master includes tip animations and stickers. The Tip Feedback app adds GIFs to the screen when a tip arrives: open the App Gallery, add Tip Feedback, adjust its settings, click "Save and Start" and send yourself a test tip. If you broadcast from your own OBS Studio, the OBS Toolset shows your Basic Levels and Special Commands on screen; that path is covered in the Cam Extension and OBS Toolset setup.

Designing A Tip Menu You Can Deliver

A tip menu is a promise. Start with a short list of actions you can deliver comfortably every time, explain what each price includes, and add items only when viewers can tell them apart and you can handle the workload.

The structure below is an example to adapt to your boundaries and each site's rules. The token amounts are fictional round numbers, not recommended rates, and token values differ between sites.

Keep Levels And Menu Items From Colliding

If a menu item costs the same as a toy level, a single tip may set off both. Check whether each menu price falls inside one of your Lovense ranges, and test it before you go live. Either make the overlap deliberate or move one of the amounts.

Tip Menu Practices

• Keep the menu readable and say what each price includes.
• Review it when evidence or permitted offers change, not on an arbitrary weekly deadline.
• Low-cost options are optional. A first tip does not predict repeat spending.
• Remove any item you would feel pressured to deliver.

Pacing Paid Shows Clearly

Explain the price, the format, your boundaries and how the viewer ends the session before you begin. Longer paid sessions are not better in themselves. Never delay agreed content or imply personal intimacy to keep a billing clock running.

A. Confirm The Offer

You might open with: "This session is the format we agreed, at the displayed rate. These are my limits, and you can stop whenever you choose." Answer scope questions before charging, where the site allows it.

B. Respect The Chosen Pace

Agree a pace within your boundaries. A viewer may prefer conversation, a shorter session or no purchase. Follow that choice rather than using waiting time to earn more. End or pause if expectations cannot be met.

C. Keep Controls Clear

Know the site's stop, booking and camera-sharing controls. Never assume a tip makes a public room private. Use two-way video only where it is permitted and both people agree, and do not record or reuse private-session material without the required permission.

Help Returning Viewers Find You

Returning viewers make a schedule less dependent on one-time discovery. That does not guarantee steady spending, and contact should stay respectful rather than manipulative.

• A thank-you message: after a private show, a short note that mentions something you talked about, sent only where the site's messaging allows it.
• A schedule you keep: publish broadcast times you can maintain and update them when plans change.
• Contact between streams: keep it occasional and on the site's own messaging, so regular viewers hear about schedule changes without feeling chased.

Pre-Live Device And Menu Checklist

Before you use an interactive device or a new tip menu in a live show, test the full path without viewers watching.

• Platform rules: confirm the site currently permits the device, the menu wording and every action on it.
• Connection: test the Bluetooth, app, extension and site connection before the stream starts.
• Ranges: send test tips at the bottom and top of each level, and one between levels.
• Boundaries: remove any item that would pressure you into content you don't want to perform.
• Timing: make sure high-value triggers cannot interrupt consent, safety or comfort.
• Fallback: decide what you will say if the toy disconnects or a trigger fails.

Note which menu items improve the viewers' experience and which ones cause technical problems or boundary pressure.

When A Device Or Menu Item Fails

Pause the affected offer, tell viewers what failed and follow the site's dispute or refund process where it applies. Don't keep charging for a trigger that isn't working. Stripchat's rules on interactive toys prohibit advertising a toy that is disconnected or not working, and using fake interactive toys, with possible suspension as the consequence.

Check pairing, saved levels, the account connection and the overlay as separate layers. Resume only after a test tip works. Keep a private note of the menu item, the failure, any complaint, the time it took and any boundary pressure. Change one thing at a time using the pricing worksheet and the Stream Master troubleshooting table.

Review Costs, Results And Boundaries

You can test and review monetization decisions, but no device, menu or show format guarantees earnings. Compare gross revenue, site deductions, equipment costs, your time and your personal boundaries before deciding what works.
