Lovense Cam Extension and OBS Toolset setup

Use this path if you broadcast from your own OBS Studio and connect Lovense through the Cam Extension in Chrome or Edge. The extension is not in the Chrome Web Store: you download a .zip from Lovense, load it unpacked with Developer mode switched on, and leave Developer mode on. Lovense Connect links the toy, and OBS Toolset adds the Lovense Video Feedback source above your camera. If you broadcast from Stream Master’s built-in OBS instead, use the Stream Master guide.

Which Lovense path are you on?

Lovense offers two current routes for creators, and their instructions are not interchangeable. Check which one you use before following any step on this page.

Choose the standalone components before installing

Lovense’s extension page sets out three steps: the Cam Extension for Chrome or Edge, Lovense Connect by computer or by phone, and OBS Studio followed by OBS Toolset. Keep a private note of what you install so a later fault is easier to trace.

  • Record your operating system and processor, OBS version, browser and extension version, Connect version and Toolset version. Mark unknown versions as unknown.
  • Lovense Connect by computer needs the Lovense USB Bluetooth adapter. Connect by mobile uses the phone app and a QR code instead, so the adapter is optional.
  • Install OBS Studio before OBS Toolset, as Lovense instructs. If you use Streamster or SplitCam instead of OBS Studio, Lovense lists a separate toolset for each; install the streaming program first.
  • Download only from the official vendor pages. OBS being available on an operating system does not mean Lovense Toolset supports it there; ask Lovense if the combination is unclear.
  • Lovense: Cam Extension and installation order

Checked 13 October 2026. Lists Chrome/Edge, Connect by computer (USB adapter required) or by mobile, OBS Studio before OBS Toolset, and Streamster and SplitCam as alternatives with their own toolsets.

Install the Cam Extension from Lovense’s .zip

Lovense’s FAQ explains that the extension is not available in the Chrome Web Store, so it is installed by hand. The download page showed version V31.6.8 on 13 October 2026, and the installation guide also offers an older version if the current one will not install.

  • Download the extension .zip from Lovense’s installation guide, open your Downloads folder and extract it. Note the name and location of the extracted folder.
  • In Chrome, open chrome://extensions. In Edge, open Extensions and then Manage extensions. Switch on Developer mode.
  • Click Load unpacked, select the extracted folder and confirm. The Lovense extension then appears in your extensions list; pin it so it stays visible.
  • Leave Developer mode on. Lovense notes that some functions may only work while it stays enabled, so switching it off is a common reason the extension stops working.

Build an OBS scene before adding the integration

Work with output stopped. Start with a dedicated setup scene so its sources are easy to inspect. OBS’s Sources dock adds scene elements; adding an element does not start a broadcast.

  • Add the camera through the supported video-capture source and select the intended device in its properties. Check the actual camera frame before adding overlays.
  • Check the Audio Mixer while speaking, then make a short local recording. Listen to it rather than relying only on moving meters. Correct missing audio or the wrong input before continuing.
  • Keep the test scene focused on the camera and necessary sources. Inspect the frame for private information. A desktop capture is unnecessary for this integration and can expose other windows.
  • OBS: Quick Start Guide

Reviewed 2 October 2026. Source, audio and local-test guidance; not Lovense plugin certification.

  • OBS: Video Capture Sources

Reviewed 2 October 2026. Device selection and camera-source behavior; source availability differs by operating system.

Add Lovense video feedback to the same scene

After installing the supported Toolset, Lovense’s written guide describes the following scene connection. These are documented labels, not a promise that every release uses identical menus. If your installation differs, compare its current vendor instructions before changing unrelated settings.

  • With standalone OBS open, add the Lovense Video Feedback source alongside the camera source in the scene you are testing.
  • Place Lovense Video Feedback above the camera and other sources, as Lovense instructs. If it is not at the top, the feedback does not display.
  • In Cam Extension settings, open the Video Feedback tab and click Connect to Lovense OBS Toolset. Once connected, your Basic Levels and Special Commands should appear in the OBS preview.
  • Check placement and size in the scene. Temporarily hide and show the feedback source to distinguish an overlay problem from the camera underneath; preserve your working camera configuration.
  • Lovense: OBS Toolset installation guide

Checked 13 October 2026. Documents the feedback source, its position above other sources and the extension connection. It still cites OBS 22.0.0 and a 32-bit Windows download; these do not prove compatibility with your installed releases.

  • OBS: Sources Guide

Reviewed 2 October 2026. Explains source order, visibility, positioning and sizing.

Check four separate results before a destination test

Treat each check as a separate observation in your setup note. This reversible sequence is a suggested verification workflow, not a report of a completed Space Management test.

  • Scene: record locally with the overlay visible, then hidden. Compare camera, sound and layout. Restore the visibility you intend to use.
  • Bridge: confirm the device connection through the supported Connect workflow. An OBS overlay alone does not establish a working device connection.
  • Trigger: where your current integration provides a supported test, check feedback and device response separately. A simulated event does not establish actual paid-tip processing.
  • Destination: consult its current authenticated broadcast instructions and test options. Check its received preview and explicit live status; sending output may expose your scene. Stop output and confirm the destination session has ended.

If the integration differs, preserve the working scene

Note whether the problem is a missing feedback source, a hidden overlay, the extension itself, the Connect link or the device response. Change one layer at a time and repeat the matching check. Do not replace the scene or reset all applications merely because feedback is absent.

  • If the extension has stopped working in Chrome or Edge, first check that Developer mode is still on and the extension is enabled, then reload the page. If the current version will not install, try the older version Lovense offers; never use a copy from a third-party extension site.
  • If the source is missing after installation, record the installed versions and ask Lovense whether that Toolset supports your OBS build. Avoid guessed plugin folders, ports, unofficial installers or undocumented downgrades.
  • If feedback is covered, inspect source order and visibility. If the preview looks correct but the device does not respond, keep the scene layout intact and investigate the integration separately.
  • For support, send the component versions, the failed check and a redacted error description. Keep account details, stream keys, pairing codes and viewer information out of shared screenshots.
